Interest Groups

• Preservation Interest Group (Donald/Nick)
  • Interest in collaborating with other (non-Islandora) groups; conference time is coming up so that may be options
• Archival interest group (Nick)
  • Nothing new since the last roadmap meeting
• Documentation interest group
  • Group met on Sep 23rd; next meeting is October 22nd.
  • Have had one "doc-a-thon", doing another in preparation for the 7.x-1.4 release
  • Holding the documentation survey until the next version is released with updated documention.
• Fedora 4 Interest Group (David):
  • Have not met since the last roadmap meeting.
  • Reaching out to institutions to get funds for the project. Hoping to begin in November/December.
  • Seeking sufficient funds for 6-12 months full-time hands-on developer to focus on the integration.
  • Targetting an initial release in time for OR2015

Islandora Camp updates

• Islandora Camp CO

  • Biggest group yet (over 50 people) for a community-driven event; more dev-heavy in this camp; attendance is from all-over
  • Has broken even and will be returning a little bit to the general Foundation budget
  • Now ordering t-shirts and other final prep

• Islandora Camp FL

  • Having more discussion with sponsor's leaders, possibly at a later-than originally expected time.

  • West coast Canada
  • Germany

New Business

• New software for LASP:

  • Entities SP (Melissa)
    • Melissa will talk with DGI about getting an official contribution request

• Roundtable

  • UToronto integrating WebVTT captioning files into Islandora (example)
  • Release 7.x-1.4 coming along: seeing more testers this time, but need additional testers.
