LBL AOP 9/30: Modelica Buildings Library release - Done.

Michael to post new test results that use MSL 4.0.0.

Compiler integration

Try to sign off on license agreement this month. URBANopt could then also use OPTIMICA rather than JModelica.

FMI-QSS

Should have revised branch next week with the new dependency information. Phase a) won't have short-circuiting, and afterwards short-circuiting will be added to test effect.

Modelica Buildings Library

Updated master to MSL 4. Will rename ThermalZones.EnergyPlus package to have version number of E+.

EnergyPlus-Modelica coupling

Address how to handle idf files with

Sen reports validation that indicate a problem with this construct. ("convection load we got from the ThermalZoneAdapter only returns the load for one single floor instead of that for the 10 floors") Sen to enter an issue in the Buildings library github site.

Buildings 9 release target for January or February, with EnergyPlus 9.6 and Spawn 0.3.x on Ubuntu 20.04.

• [For FY21, Q2] Kyle to look into numerical instability (walls may be initialized to wrong temperature). See for example Experimental/EnergyPlus/Examples/VAVReheatRefBldgSmallOffice/FloorOpenLoop. The temperature in the attic should not raise in the first hour. (Pending since Nov. 2019)
• Remove warnings issued by EnergyPlus, https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues/2220
• Support negative start time in EnergyPlus, https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues/1938
