Old SourceForge Project

The MisterHouse open source project was previously managed through SourceForge. Sadly, over the years, the interface, usability, and functionality of SourceForge became a bit stale. Starting in December 2012, the MisterHouse code repository was moved to GitHub. Today there is a very active developer involvement through the github project page. No more code is being submitted to the SourceForge project, all new work has been submitted to GitHub since Dec-2012.

So why keep the SourceForge project around? Well, over the years, thousands of links have been made on the internet to the SourceForge project. Additionally, we still heavily rely on the web server functionality provided by SourceForge to serve the MisterHouse.net website. Perhaps some day we will take down the SourceForge project, but it won't be any day soon.

Just to be safe, we endeavor to keep the download section of SourceForge up-to-date with the most recent stable release of MisterHouse, however, you are highly encouraged to use GitHub to obtain the software.

New GitHub Project

As noted above, the development and code repository for the MisterHouse project is now exclusively hosted by GitHub.

Use this GitHub Direct Download to get an up to date copy of MisterHouse.

Code Syntax Change

The Insteon config syntax has changed from the old version of the Insteon code. If you are upgrading from a version of MisterHouse that was downloaded prior to November, 2012 the easiest way to convert to the new Insteon config syntax is to use convert_insteon_config as a guide. The ipll and ipld device types are no longer used in the insteon.mht file.

See Supported Devices for a list of definitions and links to documentation for all of the Insteon devices.
