The object is to identify the hardware used, the MH options that you have enabled and how it is working for you.

PAST HARDWARE: 1998-2001 PI@350M, 64(or 128)MB ran 40G ATA HD (redhat6->7) w ViaVoice 2001-2007 PII@600M, 256M, 80G hdd (redhat8-9)


CURRENTHARDWARE:
  • CPU intel Pentiun @ 900Mhz, 500MB ram (FC2 ->FC6)
  • 4 rs232 ports (weeder, onmistat, phone and modem)

OS: (and version + notes)
  • Linux, FC6, console only (gui available if needed)
  • mh flags -tk 0

MODULES: (that add functionality .. summarized)
  • audrey* , weather_OWS_client, Omnistat, custom Phone call logger, PA control, pocketsphinx, X10*, mhmms remote enabled( to myth tv box)

OTHER:
  • motion - webcam motion capture software (this eats up lots of resources)

HAPPINESS:
  • Very stable, I have seen few pauses, and the web interface is pretty snappy (thougth it could be quicker with newer faster hardware)
  • Overall no complaints

UPDATE:
  • New Hardware P4@3Gzh, 1Gbram, 2x160G SATA (raid1 hw config) + 1x160G PATA (FC6)
  • Runnng nightly rsync from main SATA drives to the PATA drive (mirror + Backup)
  • Still building and tweaking configs

PAST HARDWARE: 2003-2011 - Dedicated PII, 256MB, 9GB


CURRENTHARDWARE: (VM Slice)
  • Host: VMWare server running on Quadcore AMD, 64 bit, 8GB RAM
  • Guest: Allocated Single CPU, 2GB RAM and 20GB HD
  • 2 rs232 ports (w800,cm11)
  • 1 rs232 via usb (weeder)

OS: (and version + notes)
  • Linux, FC15 running full tk

MODULES: (that add functionality .. summarized)
  • X10, X10_RF_RELAY, Internet_Mail, Internet_Weather

OTHER:
  • Running 27 X10 Motion sensors, 6 wireless security, 7 wired security (via weeder), sump pump water monitor (via weeder.)

HAPPINESS:
  • Old time MH user very happy with new setup.
  • Successfully implemented code to handle security (X10/weeder), automatic mode switching, occupancy and extensively customized floorplan.

UPDATE:
  • Implementing DBI and object states code.

Present HARDWARE: 2011-2012 - Shuttle X50 v2 Windows XP 64 bit 4 G Ram


  • Host: Windows 64 Bit XP Duocore CPU: Intel ATOM D510 Dual Core

  • 2x Serial ports 1 Parallel port
  •  39.6cm (15.6”) touchscreen (1366x768)
  •  Integrated graphics (GMA3150, DX9)
>  VGA Video output (Extended Mode)

  • Compiled MisterHouse running full tk
  • Web Server implemented 8080 port across wireless home network
  • Access for all users of home network
  • Silicondust TV Controller enabled network

OTHER:
  • Running , 4 wired security (via dvr ethernet )
  • Home Lighting Fan and Secuirty system control X10
  • HVAC Furnace Fan Control ( Furnace emergency overidden) X10
  • HVAC Whole House air-Exchange unit X10

HAPPINESS:
  • Happy with setup.
  • Successfully implementing code to handle security, HVAC,
  • occupancy and extensively customized floorplan.
