New Page

  1. Go to the main section (About USAgov , How-To Guides , References , Explanation) that your documentation falls under and click the Edit button.
  2. (PREFERRED) Find the appropriate subsection to that your documentation falls under.
  3. If there is no pre-existing subsection under which your documentation can fit, create a new subsection by adding a h1 header.
  4. Add the title of your page in between 2 square brackets (ex: Page Name), and click save.
  5. Click on the new link for your new page and fill in its contents. You can preview your content using the Preview tab near the top.
  6. Click the Save Page button when you are done.

File Types:

  • Github readMe = (rdME)
  • Google Drive (docs, sheets, etc) = (gdoc, gsheet, etc)
  • Wiki = (wiki)
  • Other/External = (external)

  4. Add the title of your page in between 1 square bracket and then the URL immediately after in parenthesis (ex: [Page Name](Page URL)).
  5. Depending on the hyperlink destination, add the appropriate file type in parenthesis before the link (according to above list).
  6. Click the Save Page button when you are done.
