1) Installation

If you are using Chrome or Opera, go to settings and click "Load unpacked Extension". Select the downloaded (unzppied) Folder 'startpage' and click OK.

If you want to use local icons or images, make sure to move them to /startpage/img/[sidebar, main], then just adress them via "example.png" on the settings page. Otherwise, copy and paste your image url.

Note: Very strict Ad-Blockers will mess things up a bit, so make sure to whitelist cosmetic filtering and Javascript.

2) Features:

• opens a new tab with this startpage

• customisation (see settings)

• intuitive quick access overlay on any website (optional)

• autocomplete based on your search history (optional)

• cycle through search engines by pressing [TAB] ([SHIFT] + [TAB] backwards)

• typing will automatically focus the search bar

• moving your mouse close to the right edge opens a sidebar with additional information, websites and settings as well as a quick switch for dark mode

• right-clicking any rectangle opens a specific context menu

• left-clicking the date in the top right corner opens your google calendar

• dark mode (manual or scheduled)
