Book Beasts

Overview

Book Beasts is an application where children and young adults can explore their creativity by writing and sharing their own story books. It also provides parents and teachers with the tools necessary to manage their children and students.

• Published books can be viewed and searched for by all users
• Students can create, edit, and publish books
• Teachers can create/manage student accounts

• React - Foundation for user-experience
• React-Redux - State management, implemented with Redux Toolkit

Back-end

• Express - Routing for front-end and API
• Sequelize - ORM for interacting with Postgresql database
• JWT - Token creation/verification for user authentication
• Mocha - Testing framework to ensure proper backend functionality
