Next we move onto the front grill assembly. For my build I went with the BTT Pi TFT50 screen but we also support the other screens including the original Mini 12864 lcd display.

As usual, lets start by installing the M3 threaded heat inserts. There are a total of 13 here (4 per side front grill, 4 for the 6020 fan and 1 for the center front grill).

Side Front Grill preperation

You will need to press fit 2 x 6x3 Magnets. These can be aligned with the hole and pressed down on a flat surface.

Now we will assemble the front grill prior to attaching it to the printer

  1. Attach the printed fan front mount using 4 x M3x8 SHCS screws
  2. Attach the right front grill to the middle front grill with the fan front mount sandwiched in between using 2 x M3x8 SHCS screws loosely
  3. Attach the left front grill to the middle front grill using 2 x M3x8 SHCS screws loosely

Attach and align the front grill onto the printer

  1. Attach the front grill to the outer holes using 4 x M3x12 SHCS screws loosely
  2. From the previous step, align and pull in the front side grills and tighten the 4 M3x8 screws located behind the grill
  3. Tighten the 4 x M3x12 SHCS screws from point 4
  4. Attach the 2 printed End Caps using 4 x M3x8 SHCS screws
