Al leer el dicho este de la ostra me ha surgido curiosidad por ver qué significa, ya que en español no tiene sentido alguno. Y he encontrado esto.

Al parecer lo que quiere transmitir es que el mundo está lleno de oportunidades y posibilidades para uno mismo. "The world is your oyster" juega con que las conchas tienen una perla valiosa y lo utilizan como metáfora.

Por lo que yo lo traduciría no literalmente, sino más bien como: "El mundo es tuyo, al igual que la terminal"
