This adds documentation of NXP MR-VMU-RT1176 flightcontrol (Pixhawk 6X-RT derivate with just NXP specific baseboard).

@igalloway @hamishwillee @mrpollo
Since PX4 1.15 is out now we like to introduce our own Pixhawk 6X-RT derivate (just different custom baseboard, but same 6X-RT FMUM)

Is it using the same PX4 target?

@igalloway

Yes. It's fully in 1.15

So, this is a new Pixhawk Autopilot Bus baseboard. Right? did you change anything on the FMU? if you didn't why not present this as a baseboard here? https://docs.px4.io/main/en/flight_controller/pixhawk_autopilot_bus.html

It might be misleading to call it a flight controller. Why not call this a Pixhawk Autopilot Bus baseboard, and put this here? https://docs.px4.io/main/en/flight_controller/pixhawk_autopilot_bus.html

make nxp_fmurt1170-v1

Gerald can you confirm?

No, it's the same px4_fmu-v6xrt target in PX4 than Pixhawk 6X-RT. Baseboard is autodetected and T1 driver is used instead of 100base-TX.

In principle i'm with you Ramon. But NXP will sell the combination of 6X-RT FMUM + our baseboard as VMU-RT1176.
The Pixhawk 6X-RT is purely holybro manufactured while it is unclear if they will commercialize the 6X-RT with our baseboard at all.
I think from doc maintenance effort it would be better to just describe the basebord.
But we would need then also the reference to our baseboard on the Pixhawk6X-RT page.

Since you are selling this product as a standalone, listing it as a flight controller is okay. Just make sure you reference the Pixhawk FMUv6X-RT standard throughout the document. You are also mixing names with 6X and 6X-RT in some places, which will be confusing to users. Let's try to clarify where possible.

I made a few comments. I hope you can address my feedback.

Note: The wiring digram shows a Pixhawk 6X-RT baseboard as reference which has the connectors at different positions (top side only).

I don't think this is the same, since your baseboard doesn't match holybro's. Maybe remove?

@dk7xe - Can you work on this a bit?

Since i don't have time to work on that now i suggest that we remove the wiring diagram for now. Will add it at a later stage.

Yes, intention was to get the page in and afterwards maintain the details.

## Voltage Ratings

_Pixhawk 6X-RT_ can be triple-redundant on the power supply if three power sources are supplied. The three power rails are: **POWER1**, **POWER2** and **USB**.

Here you are back to referring to this product as Pixhawk 6X-RT. Is this intentional?

@dk7xe @mrpollo - i appreciate that the 6X-RT is not published yet. What are the expectations/plans to actually publish this? There are only minor changes from 6X. I recall it includes the addition of CAN3 on the FMUM and some ethernet handshaking signals.

The **POWER1** & **POWER2** ports on the Pixhawk 6X uses the 6 circuit [2.00mm Pitch CLIK-Mate Wire-to-Board PCB Receptacle](https://www.molex.com/molex/products/part-detail/pcb_receptacles/5024430670).
