i am not 💯 sure if this will work when put on this branch or if i need to apply similar changes tomain🤔update: i have made our current release branch the default for this repo & am expecting this to fail CI until it is included in that default branch. once included, i believe these will be the github action files used for all future prs (until default branch is changed again)
