Overview

This is a command line utility to download and sync songs from SoundCloud to your local disk. This utility requires Java 8 to run.

download

Allows the downloading of indiviaul song(s) or all songs by individual artist(s). Accepted arguments:

• -s - Song url - Song to download. Can be used multiple times.
• -a - Artist url - Artist to download all songs from. Can be used multiple times.
• -p - Playlist url - Playlist to download all songs from. Can be used multiple times.
• -o - Output folder - Folder to download songs to. Defaults to current directory.

Example Execution:

java -jar soundcloud-util-<version>-jar-with-dependencies.jar download -s <songUrl> -a <artistUrl> -p <playlistUrl> -o <outputFolder>

syncConfig

Asks the user various questions to create the config file used in the syncCheck and sync commands. Accepted arguments:

• -c - Config file - File to save the config to. Default to scsync.config in the current directory.

Example Execution:

java -jar soundcloud-util-<version>-jar-with-dependencies.jar syncConfig -c <configFile>

syncCheck

Reads the config file and notifies the user which songs are missing for each artist indicated to sync. Accepted arguments:

• -c - Config file - File to save the config to. Default to scsync.config in the current directory.

Example Execution:

java -jar soundcloud-util-<version>-jar-with-dependencies.jar syncCheck -c <configFile>

sync

Reads the config file and downloads each song which is missing for each artist indicated to sync. Accepted arguments:

• -c - Config file - File to save the config to. Default to scsync.config in the current directory.

Example Execution:

java -jar soundcloud-util-<version>-jar-with-dependencies.jar sync -c <configFile>
