Suggested by @cehsu (and many others):

Landing page as activity feed, perhaps based on all activity first, and then filterable by topics (once categorization is in place), and or proxy activity as users choose/get chosen (personalization)

Needs a little more design thinking about what it would include, what it would look like?

Just a timeline of:

  • Recent votes from your proxies.
  • Recent comments from your proxies.

Could be a good place to start.

This has been coming up a lot recently — as a much easier way to get existing users up-to-speed with the latest things happening on United.

Here's an example of what an activity feed could look like. I think we should include each person's elected reps/senators in the feed automatically.Ideally there'd be a way to follow someone without proxying to them.

We don't really need the row with dates/votes.

I also think pages for elected officials would look good with a feed:

Comments from @joshuakrafchin:

  1. Who are my reps. The challenge here is that there are so many. Which do we show and why? Personally, I'm interested in the votes of City Council and School Board, maaaaaybe state senate/assembly.
    • How did my reps JUST vote (show a record).
    • Highlight votes where there were liquid votes and compare the difference.
  2. Recent comments on legislation (applicable to my jurisdiction)
    • Someone I proxy to
    • Most comments/votes
    • Closest to me (prioritize city council over Congress)
  3. Most recently introduced legislation
