Currently year in UMAP automatically uses a categorical/discrete color palette.
Can we change to a continuous gradient (e.g., older papers have a light/white to newer papers are a darker color)?
Hopefully a quick fix and would enable visually to see "transition".
May not be a perfect fix but simple fix that improves current design.
