I have a Polaris 15, running Pop_OS!. Updated my system yesterday, there was a kernel update:

Linux version 6.8.0-76060800daily20240311-generic ([email protected]) (x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc-12 (Ubuntu 12.3.0-1ubuntu1~22.04)

Since I still can set keyboard backlight to on/off still can control brightness. But can' t set color no more in Tuxedo Control Center. Gives the following message:

Schermafdruk van 2024-05-24 21-18-10

Not sure where to post this, I presume bug.

Same issue here, with the addition that I'm unable to read any temperatures? Tried reinstalling, removing/installing but nothing yet...

EDIT: decided to take an excerpt from /var/log/apt/history.log of what else got upgraded too...

upgrade.log

EDIT: after more digging, there seems to be something off with DKMS? I have two kernels available, 6.6.10 (old) and 6.8.0 (new). Did some DKMS builds and results are different, newer build shows lots of warnings.

dkms_6.6.10_make.log
dkms_6.8.0_make.log

After building and installing for 6.6.10 kernel, rebooted the system with said kernel and everything works again. 😺

My laptop is non-Tuxedo, just a plain Clevo.

TCC: 2.1.8
tuxedo-drivers: 4.4.2

Hard to debug a non tuxedo device

dkms status seems correct

tcc 2.1.9 and tuxedo-drivers 4.5 is currently in testing please try again when they have been released

Same problem here: Cannot set keyboard backlight and unable to read temperature and fan speed.

I'm running Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS on a TUXEDO InfinityBook S 15 Gen6.

version:
tcc: 2.1.8
tuxedo-drivers: 4.4.2

TD 4.5.0 is released now (TCC 2.1.9. not yet, during testing we found a bug), just did a fresh install of pop_os and it works fine with td and tcc. Device was a polaris 15 gen 2 with amd cpu.

For everyone here having still trouble with 4.5.0 please also post the output of ls /sys/class/leds/

Sorry for late reply. I seemed to have solved my problem reinstalling the whole Tuxedo driver .deb packages (little bit hard to find on the website to be honest, still a lot of reference to the backlight solution before the rewrite). Only thing that seem to function a little less smooth is the touchpad on/off switch (LED is as instant as before). So I think I installed the latest "drivers".

Didn't have time to have a real good look around.

I thought this could be a bug in relation with the newer 6.8.x kernel used in Pop!, so tried to give a heads up.

the touchpad led is handled by: http://deb.tuxedocomputers.com/ubuntu/pool/main/t/tuxedo-touchpad-switch/

I'm currently testing the version for plasma 6 (will be v1.0.8) edit: will go live later this evening

It only works on gnome(-based) DEs and KDE Plasma and maybe only on X11, for wayland it might be possible to have a more generic solution but other stuff currently has priority.

Assumed fixed for @uglydrummer.

@eliashauksson If the issues persit for you, can you please give the the output of mokutil --sb-state and mokutil --list-enrolled ?

Confirmed working on kernel 6.8.0-76060800daily20240311-generic
Backlight works and the issue described in #387 is fixed for me too. 👍
