Parsing an array of strings

How do i parse the following yaml with viper ?

dbInstance:
  name: pg-instance
  id: test-db
  storageGB: 5
  dbInstanceClass: db.t2.small
  multiAZ: true
  publiclyAccessible: false
  engineVersion: "9.6"
  storageType: gp2
  region: eu-central-1
  whiteList:
    - 127.0.0.1
    - 127.0.0.2
  clothing:
     jacket: leather
     trousers: denim

I am parsing as follows

I would like to parse that whiteList IPs for looping and also the clothing key with the struct way ?

Then try to reproduce your issues

Thx I will try it out. However I was trying to search for a sample with an array of strings in yaml and using it with structs

I can't really tell what you are trying to achieve TBH:

whiteList           string `mapstructure:"path_map"`

This makes no sense to me. It should be:

• an exported field
• []string, not string

Also, what does path_map has to do with this field?

I was trying out different configuration within the struct to parse the array of strings. I was trying to find an example.

what do I set in the exported filed?

The whitelist field in the struct should be an exported field.
