Thanks the author for the excellent work. I have issues thou with the irises, which in some case have been badly formed. Samples:

any idea how to correct them?

Have you played with the fidelity tradeoff parameter? If not try to keep a high w when running the inference.

I kept the fidelity parameter to 0.75.

The range of the parameter is from 0 to 1. Try with very high values like 0.9 or even 0.99 and check.
