Project Idea

Combine all RaidGuild assets into a synchronized Visual Design System and lay the precedent for maintaining it in a decentralized fashion. This will involve allocating design assets into the existing RG Figma space, cleaning up the organization of this space, and synchronizing it to the existing Storybook component library.

Summary of the work done

• Designed all the components with reference from Storybook components into a new Figma file and standardized them
• Arranged all the components and documented their details
• Wrote documentation for how to contribute to the design system file
• Created Design <> Code automation using a plugin service for easy design & dev collaboration
• Tested the automation service with Figma & GitHub code

Why should we build this?

• To align storybook components with Figma design and update existing styles
• Create a standardized design system that can be used for all Guild product design
• Automation for easy handling of the design and code with less human intervention

Anything else you'd like to add?

• Need Figma premium plan to be able to publish the design system library
• Figma plugins used for automation are under a free plan so it will require some manual work to be able to update both design & code
• The Devs need to go through details and find solutions to integrate this into the Storybook

Note: I would like the Guild to consider increasing the amount a bit as the time spent on design, research & work on automation stuff was increased than expected.
