Qbittorrent gets bogged down by too many torrents (more than 2 or 3000 for me.) So I started cleaning it out once every 3 months, deleting anything older than 3 months, but not deleting the files. Instead, I use Everything Search, on Windows, to index and find my stuff. It has fantastic fine-grained search capabilities, and it's FAST! I run several instances of Everything.exe at once, with settings specific to the type of search I want to do in each. For example, I limit "everything-video" to video file types. I also keep my completed .torrent files forever, copied to a special folder, so I can search through my history to see if I've watched something before. Since the list is so large, I hide this folder in my searches until the rare time I need to use it (under Index on the menu bar, then Enable Result Omissions). (My media server saves watched-history, but it's not as complete as my 10-year-old list of .torrent files. I also delete videos once I've watched them so the only reference to the file-history is the list of .torrents.) In addition, you can use Everything Search across your network to search other Network folders, as long as the folders are NTFS or FAT format. |

I'm using qBit as *arr companion.
So there is a couple ideas:
Me personally using files as hardlinks. So I have two links to same file on HDD.
So when file downloaded it still in the downloads folder and also hardlinked to library. Now we get file with two hardlinks.
Then in *arr for example I've removed its own copy. At this moment in qBit we have file with one hardlink.
Next I want wait until qBit will exceed seeding limits. And if at this moment completed torrent have only one hardlink – remove it completely, with files also.
But if there is more than one links to this file – let it be. Maybe even forever. Until it present in library.
So would be great:
Am I able to do it with available options?
If no – then question how can I achieve this result?
