I just encountered the project for the first time and when I went to try it out, I found the UX to be a surprisingly frustrating experience. I've made a board explaining my new user experience:

I'd have sent this in an email, but there wasn't an email address on the site.

Hi Racheet,

Thanks for the feedback and sorry to hear about your frustration. He board you have linked to requires as password therefore we can not access.

If you could email me (email on my github page) then I'll look into your feedback.

Thanks, Lloyd.

I've updated the board so it doesn't need a password. I'd assumed that I
was password locking my account, not the board. it wasn't clear if the
board was shared publically by default or not.

I'm going to be at the xmpp meetup tonight, so I could talk my feedback
over with you there if you'd like.

Please don't get me wrong, I think this project has a lot of potential, I'm
offering ux feedback in the hope you can make it better for new users
rather than hating on your project.

thanks,
Racheet

Hi Racheet,

Had a quick look at the board, all of your points make sense. Lets talk
about it with Jonny as well this evening.

Constructive feedback is appreciated so thank you very much!

Cheers, Lloyd

Hi @Racheet,

I've taken some time to review your UX points made and discussed them with @JonnyHeavey too. We both fully agree that cards should automatically grow as you add content and I've created an issue for this (#64) if you'd like to track.

With regards to post-its on a corkboard, completely agree its a mixed metaphor and its something we've joked about before. We're adding themeing to the system in the future which will allow the user to change the board 'type' which should clear up any confusion for you (#17).

With regards to click/dragging board and card creation we like the way this works and potentially this issue would be cleared up better by some sort of improved first journey. We've got someone coming in to do marketing as a project in the near future which should start to generate some of this content and feedback to us some other improvements.

I'm closing this, but feel free to continue to comment and thanks for the feedback!
