I would like to bump this question. @jwhui Could you please provide some details about OT's state you mentioned in google groups discussion? How much memory is it using? |

Hi,
With my team, we would like to modify OT to achive functionality of disabling the whole network (including FTD) and enabling it just for data transmission. Quite similar to this thread: https://groups.google.com/g/openthread-users/c/JawJe54NswU.
We have 4kB of retained RAM on the lowest low-power mode, and 64kB of retained RAM in mode that consumes slightly more energy.
Can we get some clues how to get it done?
We had some ideas to "sandbox" platform PAL (drivers required by OT) and freeze them before puting MCU to sleep to prevent any timeouts/state changes due to interrupts.
Will that be sufficient in case the whole RAM area where OT resides will be retained?
Is there any option to use the lowest low-power mode and retain only most crucial data that will be restored just after wake-up?
