Setting module parameters for genesis block on Mainnet

Introduction

As we are in progress to prepare for Xstaxy mainnet launch in October 2022. There are some module parameters need to be set in the genesis config. Although they can be changed after the mainnet run through governance, we still want to get your opinions about their initial values to have the best start.
Therefore we open this discussion to hear your voice.

Proposal

List of the parameters and our proposed values:

1. Gov

• Min deposit: 5000 Aura ~ US$500 (with current Aura price) to avoid spamming
• Max deposit period: 10 days
• Voting period: 5 days

2. Slashing
   With block time around 5.6s on Euphoria testnet

• Signed blocks window: 10,000 blocks~ 15.5h
• Min signed per window: 10% (1000 blocks) ~ 1.5h
• Downtime jail duration: 600s
• Slash fraction double sign: 5%
• Slash fraction downtime: 0.01%

4. Staking

• Unbonding time: 14 days

Concerning inflation and max validator, we are drafting the Foundation Delegation Program, then we will provide the information later.

Why so much? I don't see the point in punishing validators with time

It's only 10minutes, is it too much after a node off more than 12 hours.

For what this delay? Penalty for validator? I never understood the logic behind this delay.

Yes, it's kind of punishment, force you to leave the active set for a period of time and you won't receive block rewards. Since it's a short time, you can consider it a warning that you can be replaced

Validators participating actually for AURA_CHAIN="euphoria-1" will have to pay arround US$1000 to become active validators for the mainnet ?

this is min deposit to start a gov proposal...

No that is the token amount one must deposit to create a governing proposal for voting. It will be refunded once the proposal pass or fail.

it could be a very good way to avoid spamming.
$1000 can discourage people to make interesting proposal, a middle way with a smaller amount can be better for the community.

$1000 is not only from the proposer, everyone can deposit. I think if a community feels a proposal is good enough, they will deposit to make it happens.

Parameters looks well to me and i agree with Ramuchi on min validators commission 5% .

The minimum deposit could first be made less, for example 1000, and then increased if necessary. Since individual offers can be more difficult to collect a deposit and the chance that someone will want to create it will decrease
