If you're running in Openshift/Kubernetes, you'll likely want to use the manageiq operator https://www.manageiq.org/docs/reference/latest/installing_on_kubernetes/index.html rather than the monolothic image. The monolithic image currently uses the same httpd config files as the appliance images, so https is the default. |

Hi Brandon,
Thanks for sharing; operators are lots better than plain images. However, it’s customized for OCP (will work for K8S likewise).
Is there any option for changing the default from HTTPS to HTTP without changing the docket image?
I couldn’t find a documented option for the operator as well. Loving the docs from bitnami (VMware) as they state all config options; couldn’t find anything like that for ManageIQ. Do you have something like that?

Hi everyone,
I noticed manageiq/manageiq containing HTTPS, only. My k8s routes everything using Istio, having TLS offloading at the edge gateway and encrypting internally using citadel. This causes an issue, as internally HTTP is normally used, while ISTIO upgrades to HTTPS, without the app noticing.
Is there an option for enabling HTTP for manageiq/manageiq, just routing to 80 or 8080 does not work, as it seems to have no listener..?
Calling https://manageiq.example.com/ leads to following error, as istio handles TLS:
