  • Learned about the structure of the internet
  • Dependent on many interconnected servers rather than one single strong server (network)
  • Internet has a variety of uses (ex: Entertainment, Communication/Collaboration, Information Retrieval...)
  • Domain and Subdomain names (ex: docs.google.com; docs = Subdomain, google, is the Domain)
  • Routers send packets: transfer information--interconnected
  • IP addresses assign numbers to establish unique individual codes for tech
  • Bandwith: measures speed of information transfer
  • HTTPS: secure version of HTTP that encrypts data
