What?

  • We often need to handle fairly complicated sets of information
  • We want to use cards less often for non-clickable content so that we make good use of the standard background colour, which is better for accessibility and not misleading with regard to what you can do with the content
  • Thus, I believe we should look into how develop new / better ways to divide content (with lines, probably)

here's a quick doodle looking at some options (thick, full width dividers? ghost cards?)

(admittedly rather unfindable under typography)

@edwardhorsford partly! though, given the kinds of information we work with, i think it would be worth investigating other forms to enable clearer structures. (meaning: thicker lines, lines that run to the screen edge on mobile, etc.)
