Dragging end of 8va (15ma) lines doesn't follow mouse properly

Description with steps to reproduce

1. Create/open a score
2. Fill a measure with, say, 8 1/8 notes
3. Add an 8va line over the first two
4. Use the mouse to drag the grip handle on the hook to the right to extend it over the remaining notes
5. Expected: grip handle should follow the mouse pointer
6. Actual: grip handle jumps to the right as you drag near each new note, making it hard to adjust easily
