Embedded questions progress report not showing the reports selection dropdown

Moodle 3.11.10 with the current version/s of the embedded questions plugin set.

I'm finding that the Embedded questions progress report fails to display the course reports selection drop-down, making it impossible to choose a different course report.
This is quite problematic because the latest selection is remembered by the main course Reports link ( /report/view.php?courseid=123 ), thus causing that page to load automatically while the teacher cannot change the selection...

could be related to my menu customisations performed with https://moodle.org/plugins/local_boostnavigation .
However, the core aspect of this issue - the missing drop-down selector on the Embedded questions report page - certainly needs addressing.
