is this superseded by the official driver?

this lib seems to have a really nice API, but i'm wondering if the official driver basically makes it obsolete now it supports promises?

Official driver land promise support since 2.0.36 - 2015-07, this module created before that.
If official driver supports promise, it's awesome 👍
I have left mongodb for several months, don't know the situation of that.
