When a function uses a very tiny constant, like 0.000000000002, py expression eval can't
substitute the number in scientific notation.

Dá pra contornar declarando a rede com 2^5*f inves de f/2^-5 , e vice-versa se for o caso. Vou simular essa conversão no código provavelmente se não pensar em outra coisa.

Entendo. De qualquer forma, acho que seria bom contatar os responsáveis pela biblioteca e apresentar o problema. Embora tua solução funcione, não é bom depender desse tipo de "gambiarra" (não no sentido pejorativo, afinal o problema não foi gerado por ti) em função de bibliotecas de terceiros.
