Production database has:

• Automatic failover - Premium has built-in automatic failover https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/heroku-postgres-ha
• Daily automatic backups - Continuous Protection kind covers this? https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/heroku-postgres-data-safety-and-continuous-protection
• Transaction logs for PIT recovery - Heroku Postgres Rollback

Can we leave the sections in the checklist but using platform agnostic terminology? As I think these are important things to have regardless of which platform is selected. It seems like RDS and Heroku Postgres do have the same offerings that would satisfy what we're trying to achieve.

Or maybe we don't need to change the terminology, but in fact give a better description in the checklist of what they mean?

someone did mention the terminology was geared towards AWS, when looking through it for use on Azure.
I think we should set up reference material for a variety of services (including roll your own db), then work out agnostic terminology after the fact.

This is potentially more of a general issue though, so will need issues for each instance.
