When DNS is down, the resulting connection failures can cause the watchdog timer to be triggered. This is bad because it means the cache is lost

When dns fails once things are running, the node will work for a while before potentially getting stuck in a reboot loop.

What’s nasty is this can happen even if there is a cached card, because of the revalidation
