Description

I would like to be able to follow users from different Movary servers.

Currently you can only select local (and visible) users in the web UI to use as data source.

I want to be able to select users from different servers too.

Desired Behavior

  • add remote users/servers
  • select remote users/servers
  • remove remote users/servers

Additional Context

Please give this issue a 👍 so that I know if there is interest in this feature.

This might be interesting but how will people find other servers? Would it be good if we store list of available servers on some central location? And the server owners might choose their server to be listed on that list or not.

Instead of rolling your own impl, doing it with ActivityPub might be better in the long run (related #579)
