Error connecting to BGMXPCHelper

Description of the bug
I installed background music 4.0 about a year ago on macOS to balance facetime audio (which is always to loud), while watching something together or gaming together.
Back then it did not work at all. (Logo in menu bar showing but no UI or controls).
Was a bit worried since it has access to mic etc.
Tried to deinstall it but it left artifacts on my machine.

I left it like that until yesterday, when I saw in brew that it was still recognised.
I checked again if there was progression in development and saw, that 4.3 was out.
I have tried to install 4.3 (brew), ran into some issues due to the artifacts but I was able to install it in the end (after deleting old files (4.0) manually).
Now it actually shows the UI but still has some weird behaviour:

• Everytime I open it the BGMXPC error pops up.
• spotify can be controlled
• arc browser can't
  Did test more yet.

I tried to install it with the provided CLI script (installed Xcode before), it shows an error in line 593.
I tried to google and read the git on how to install it in another way but couldn't find something that would work.
I reinstalled it with the apk, issue persist
