when it tries to do an action that needs some longer time it seems to be frozen, hence an indicator to make the user know that no need to panic would be great. ( for example when opening a document or reflow is working) Even a simple "please wait..." could work

BTW: I think you already have a plan to implement goto function ?

1, As for slow opening, the best way is to save a sreenshot when exit the book. And display the sreenshot first, and then open the real book.

2, As for reflow configure, I want to add shadow bars on related butten when butten pressed. And clear the shadow bars after rending.

ad 1.: that would be a gross hack. And it would generate some considerable
temporary cruft and lots of write cycles. I'm not convinced at all, I have
to admit.

ad 2.: I'm not sure I understand.
