Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Ensure you have Node.js installed.
• Set up a Firebase project.

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/your_username/LocalAlt.git

2. Navigate to the project directory:

cd LocalAlt

3. Install the dependencies:

npm install

4. Set up your Firebase configuration in a .env file in the root directory:

REACT_APP_FIREBASE_API_KEY=your_api_key
REACT_APP_FIREBASE_AUTH_DOMAIN=your_auth_domain
REACT_APP_FIREBASE_DATABASE_URL=your_database_url
REACT_APP_FIREBASE_PROJECT_ID=your_project_id
REACT_APP_FIREBASE_STORAGE_BUCKET=your_storage_bucket
REACT_APP_FIREBASE_MESSAGING_SENDER_ID=your_messaging_sender_id
REACT_APP_FIREBASE_APP_ID=your_app_id

5. Run the app in development mode:

npm start

Deployment

The frontend of LocalAlt is hosted on Vercel. To deploy your version:

1. Sign up or log in to your Vercel account.
2. Connect your GitHub account.
3. Import the LocalAlt repository.
4. Follow the steps to deploy your app.
