Hello - besides all the issues one can have with software, I just wanted to tell you how great this module in combination with HumHub itself is, how much time and pain it saves our very small company in managing projects and how much we love the versatile features! We are as happy as anyone could be to have discoverd both HumHub and the calender module some time ago and all people we talk to in our daily business (we tend to spread the word once we like things ;-) ) become a bit jealous of how well organized our project calendar is. Espcially in combination with the project management features of HumHub (spaces work great for that), this calendar is miles ahead of what Google Calendar can offer - and we really tried to love it, but it always fell short in the details.

Just for the curious minds, we did some modifications to the source code that, in my opinion, could benefit a lot of people. If there is interest in that, it might be worht the effort to make them into a full-fledged feature. Hardcoding them was pretty easy though.

  • We made cancelled events have a light-grey, shaded background (to make them stand back more)
  • We forced events to always have the color of their space (this is an absolute must and life-saver for us!!)
  • We made personal events light-grey (to make them stand back more)
  • In calendar-export (we use it to show the calendar on phones and in our ToDo-Software), we postfixed all events with their space name, because export doesn't support event color / space color

I could imagine that especially the option Force space color for events could be quite easy to implement and be a huge improvement for this module. If there is interest in it, I would consider trying it myself...

@jwleon Thank you for the feedback!

The ideas are really interesting. At the next loop here, we will discuss the ideas again internally.
