having a function for each Update and SelfUpdate, explicitly

Asset.Update, Asset.SelfUpdate
Asset.Background, Asset.BackgroundSelf
Asset.importUpdate, Asset.importSelfUpdate

does not seem so nice. Either work with delegates or Interfaces? Looking for ideas @dhcgn , @enricopau , @KirillSerebryakov123
