Introduction

FrogCraft: Rebirth is spiritual successor of FrogCraft (and also the ported one), an Addon-Mod for IndustrialCraft2/GregTech, with theme of chemical industry, featured with following:

  • Advanced Chemical Reactor
  • Pyrolyzer
  • Production line of Liquid Air
  • Massive EU storage unit with limited functionality
  • Combustion Furnace - regular generator plus functionality of collecting byproduct
  • Advanced Blast Furnace
  • Mobile Power Station
  • New ores
  • Decay Battery (Creative Only for now)
  • Ammonia Coolant
  • Fun stuff

What's changed in this version?

  • New textures powered by huangziye812 and dunge!
  • Thermal Cracker is renamed to Pyrolyzer. "Thermal Cracker" sounds like Chinglish to me.
  • New contents.
    • Crushed ore dust, purified ore dust, and dust of small pile!
    • Full sulfuric acid production line!
    • Advanced Blast Furnace! Used for dealing with your titanium (IV) oxide and aluminium (III) oxide.
    • Aluminium, Magnalium, Titanium and Magnesium. Filling in the hole of GregTech.
  • Some contents are removed.
    • Cells are removed. Use IC2 Universal Fluid Cell instead. All machines and recipes are adjusted to use it.
    • Railgun and Academy Windmill are removed.
      • The reason of FrogCraft being named so is believed as a reference to anime A Certain Scientific Railgun, and the evidences are the Railgun and Academy Windmill.
      • I consider AcademyCraft as the spiritual successor of FrogCraft's anime elements. Surely AcademyCraft is not on 1.12.2 yet, but as far as I know, they are slowly working on it.
      • There used to be a replacement of Railgun, but it was removed since 2.0.0 due to technical difficulty.
    • Marble and Basalt are removed. They were substitutions to RedPower's Marble and Basalt.
      • There is still plan about adding something like Portland Cement, but there is no ETA.
    • Ruby, Sapphire and Green Sapphire are removed. Reason is same as of Marble and Basalt.
    • Four industrial machines are separated out into a new mod called "Industrial Machine".
    • Pneumatic Compressor is removed because it has no real usage when not using with TechReborn or something alike.
      • "Making Pneumatic Compressor standalone" is still on my long-term plan. No ETA, though.
  • This mod now requires Java 8 to run. If you plan to use FrogCraft: Rebirth on dedicated server, please be aware of your Java version.

For Potential Contributors - Deployment

This assumes that you have Gradle installed. If not, try find a wrapper script.

$ gradle setupDecompWorkspace

Append eclipse, idea or other sorts when possible.

Laboratorium Chemiae (previously code-named FrogCraft 2: Chemia) is the spiritual successor of both FrogCraft & FrogCraft: Rebirth, which highly focuses on chemical engineering, aiming to establish an IRL-ish system about chemicals synthetic and usage. There is no real progress of FrogCraft2, nor road map, but once FrogCraft: Rebirth is stable, I will start to work on that.

FrogCraft 2: Chemia will follow Cult of Kitteh.
Yes, NO GUI. It sounds like insane, but it will be.
