Please note, this issue was opened as #1714 with element-hq / element-desktop but they sent me here as a flatpak-specific issue. :/

Steps to reproduce

  1. Where are you starting? What can you see?
The Element window is opened and NOT minimized to the system tray. (Problem doesn't occur when minimized to the system tray.)
  2. What do you click?
I'm working in another window on my desktop. A notification comes in (audible sound is heard, as desired.)

Outcome

What did you expect?

I expect only the audible sound (as configured/desired.)

What happened instead?

The window was "raised" to the forefront on my desktop, and mouse-cursor focus was pulled to that window.

Operating system

Fedora 39 Linux

Application version

Element version: 1.11.68 Crypto version: Rust SDK 0.7.0 (068a0af), Vodozemac 0.6.0

How did you install the app?

Flatpak "im.riot.Riot" (collection org.flathub.Stable)

Homeserver

matrix.oprg
