Hi there, loving the plugin.. Do have another question.

I have been broadcasting a custom UUID with:

  1. This App on an iPad: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/virtual-beacon/id994469632?mt=8
  2. This phonegap plugin on IOS using startAdvertisingAsBeacon()
  3. Actual Estimote beacons setup with custom UUID

Then from the detection side everything works great on iOS. Ranging these beacons is fast and accurate.. love it.

Just starting testing with android. I am using Android LG G3 5.01 - I am unable to range any of the virtual beacons (1 or 2 above) I also find the actual beacon reading very temperamental cutting in and out, and taking 10-20 seconds to get updates. Same functionality is seen with the example beacon finder app included in this repo.

I did notice that that estimote app for android from the Play Store. Does detect (although sporadically) virtual beacons 1 & 2.

I also noticed that the last Android SDK this plugin used in the .JAR file is 0.61 from over 6 months ago. I am wondering if the most recent release 0.9.5 includes improved functionality and the ability to range for virtual beacons since it seems to in the estimote android app.

Another user claimed they simply replaced the JAR file in this plugin, but.. I do not believe that is possible as there may be breaking changes. If it is possible what is the best process to go about trying that out?

Thanks again, and love the plugin.

Ryan
