C Client Remaining Work

Ian Craggs edited this page Sep 4, 2016 · 4 revisions

At some point I envisaged that there would be no more features needed in the C client, and with the recent addition of offline buffering and sending while disconnected, we're getting closer to that position.

I've not been able to spend as much time as I would like keeping up to date with issues of late. I hope to get to them in time. So, the remaining work as I see it is:

  • WebSockets support. A nice to have, but maybe complex to implement in C.
  • Some clients have throttling, but I'm not sure of the utility of this.
  • A number of new build methods have been contributed. I'd prefer not to have 5 methods to maintain ideally, but I don't have a good answer to this at the moment.
  • Open bugs, obviously.
