Not seeing any output in VoidLinux "cli-visualizer"

Not 100% sure if this is the right place to bring this up but I'm not getting any output from the audio visualizer on Void Distro, also I'm noticing when I have the util opened with my web-browser, the web-browser loses audio--almost as if clli-vis might be interfering with it? I guess I'm curious about what I might be missing in the setup or if my question should be brought up with the Void team seeing as I downloaded the program from their repo...
