Registry URL of Chainguard Images for Artifactory Remote Repository

Hello everyone!

I was thinking about setting up a docker remote repository in my JFrog Artifactory system.
This would allow me to cache images and set up a single source for my Docker images.

For Docker Hub JFrog for example suggest to set up a registry URL of "https://registry-1.docker.io/" which with my current configuration works perfectly fine.
Things I tried are using:

• "https://cgr.dev/chainguard/"
• "https://cgr.dev/"
• "https://registry-ui.chainguard.app"

Nothing of them worked and I just receive a failed with status code [manifests latest]: 403 Forbidden .
Unfortunately I did not find any logs in my Artifactory setup which could help me in any direction.

By any chance anyone has a clue what I could try further?

Hi, sorry for the delay in responding, I don't think this discussion board has been very closely monitored.

I'd expect the registry URL to be https://cgr.dev/ in this case. If that doesn't work I'd be very interested in any logs you can provide that indicate the error.

Turns out https://cgr.dev/ is correct.
Received an 403 and checked Artifactory documentation for the local Docker authorization.

All I was missing was docker login $(my.artifactory.example.com).

Don't know why I did not check that earlier....Anyway thank you very much for responding!
