Hiding Threads By Subject Doesn't Work

I want to hide threads that contain "female feet thread" in their subject, but it somehow doesn't work via settings>filter>subject and then entering "/female feet thread/i;boards:soc;op:only". A thread containing "female feet thread" in its title is still visible on the front page of /soc/. Same issue with other subject filters. Filtering comments works for me but filtering subjects doesn't.
