Welcome to XYZgator!

Description

XYZGator is a web application that provides children aged 5 and above with resources to develop analytical, problem-solving, and intellectual skills. The application features several learning applications such as memory-matching, grammar exercises, basic math exercises, and others, providing a fun and rich learning experience. The aim of XYZGator is to help children get ahead of the learning curve and build a strong foundational basis for future education and life skills.

Getting Started - Setup and Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js and NPM
• Angular CLI
• Golang
• GORM Click here for a GORM setup guide.
• Gorilla Mux Click here for a Gorilla Mux setup guide.

Installation

1. Clone the repository
2. Navigate to the frontend directory and run npm install -g @angular/cli (For further information reference: https://angular.io/guide/setup-local) (For Macbooks with the M1 chip reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9sZrODjmWU&t=1s)
3. Navigate to the backend directory and run go get to install the required packages

Running the Application

1. Navigate to the frontend directory and run ng serve or npm start
2. Navigate to the backend directory and run go run main.go user.go
