American wheat ale made with some leftover bits and pieces
Grain bill:
- 6 lb wheat LME
Mash & Boil:
- Boil 60 minutes
Boil additions:
- 1 oz. Kent Goldings (60 min)
- 1 oz. Kent Goldings (10 min)
Fermenter additions:
- S-05
- 60 minute boil
- OG: 1.040
- About 5.5 gal into the fermenter (carboy)
- FG: 1.008
- 4.2% ABV (probably closer to 4.5 due to fermented sugars from the raspberries, but I didn't do the math)
- CHAOS bottling bucket #1
- Had less than 4 gallons in the bottling bucket due to loss to racking and raspberries
- 6 bombers and 20 12-ounce bottles
- Primed with 3.5 oz corn sugar
- 2015.03.25: Brew day
- 2015.04.11: Gravity at 1.008. Tastes about as good as I expected. Someone pointed out that I could add berries or something to it, which I might do this week.
- 2015.04.18: Transfered to bucket #2 on top of a can of Vintner's Harvest raspberyr puree. Only got about 4 gallons into the bucket because the autosiphon stopped working on me.
