Summary

Specify the total amount of BSQ you are requesting:

  • BSQ requested: 6250

USD requested: 3500 USD
BSQ rate: 0.56 USD per BSQ as per #519
BSQ requested: 3500 / 0.56 = 6250 BSQ

Contributions delivered

Mediations

I have mediated 471 cases since the start of this role.
16 cases from the old mediation.
83 cases in November
62 on December
69 on January
61 on February
142 on March
38 on April so far

Cycle 11- (28 February - 26 March)
Cycle 12- (26 March - 28th April)

When the other mediator stopped performing his role by mid cycle, it left me taking care of double the work for around half of the cycle. Hence why the number of cases in March doubles the average that I had been carrying up until then.

The new fixed rate of 1000 USD for the mediation role is done to ensure the mediator's interests are aligned with Bisq's. Before the 11th Cycle the price used for compensation per case was cut in half to 16.5 USD . Since out of the 313 cases I had closed until then, only 162 were accounted for, corresponding to 2 cycles respectively, that leaves 151 cases unaccounted for or 2 cycles worth of cases. In the per-case scenario, that would amount to 2491,5 USD but even though that would be the right price agreed upon for that time period, I believe that given the recent events on Bisq, its best to account it as just two cycles with the new fixed system, so that would equate to 2000 USD. The compensation for this cycle would then would be:

  • 2000 USD from 2 earlier cycles
  • 1000 USD for cycle 12

Support Agent

I have been available on Keybase everyday dealing with any issues concerning the mediation tickets I've been assigned to or questions of any kind.
Have opened discussions about some bugs bisq was experiencing.

I have been in contact with devs, specially with sqrrm and ripcurlx, informing them of any bugs that were occurring or suggestions I had to solve the problems that bisq was facing.
Have made several manual payouts.

Fee Reimbursement Agent

Made the handoff from the previous agent, processed 31 issues to "staged". Funded the electrum wallet and now waiting on minor details we are still discussing to make the payment to the different parties.

Contributions in progress

Work goes on daily,
Initiated first drafts on the Bisq.wiki for the following:

@leo816 please note that as we discussed I would elsewhere, I've assigned you as the owner of the Fee Reimbursement Agent role at bisq-network/roles#76. Please feel free to add this role to this compensation request. Do you think that bisq-network/support#366 can get paid out within the next days? Would be good to have that done with regard to getting compensated for the role, i.e. to demonstrate you've fully taken it over, gone through a complete reimbursement cycle, and of course also to request BSQ reimbursement for the BTC you front to do the batch payout (that should be filed as a separate reimbursement request, btw).

@cbeams I have the electrum wallet ready to make the payment, had a call with sentineo to make the first steps with him but we still had some doubts about a few things. You mentioned that I should always do the reimbursement in btc correct? or will the bsq ones get refunded by the DAO.

I need to walk through a specific case here to figure out what the right thing to do is. Please schedule some time with me. Monday 8a-11a CET are my next available times. I'll ping you in Keybase about this.

Also, a correction for this section of your compensation request:

Mediator: bisq-network/roles#83 (comment) 1000 USD
Fee Reimbursement Agent: bisq-network/roles#76 (comment) 0 USD
L1 Support Agent: bisq-network/roles#64 (comment) 500 USD

The links you're providing there are links to the role issue itself, but you'll notice that the "(comment)" part, which should be part of the link, is actually just plain text. The reason you see this in other folks' compensation requests is because they're linking to a specific comment on the role issue—a cycle report comment. Here's one from one of the roles I play: bisq-network/roles#16 (comment). Now, the link you see there is nice and short and presents cleanly with the (comment) suffix, but the actual URL I pasted into this comment was https://github.com/bisq-network/roles/issues/16#issuecomment-613295763. GitHub shortens this link on your behalf and turns it into that more readable format. Looking at the "Contributions Delivered" section of your compensation request, you're providing a lot of detail about the different roles you play. These are better reported in cycle report comments on the role issue itself. You'll see this is how other folks do it. It keeps too much information from being siloed in the compensation requests, and puts them in the role issues themselves, which are much more useful and convenient for people to look through to see what's going on with a particular role. In the case of the Mediator role, for example, there are multiple people playing that role, so when each one of them does a cycle report on the role issue, you get this nice effect of seeing everybody's info together in one place, e.g. how many cases they handled, which were the most common bugs causing problems, etc. This is all documented at https://docs.bisq.network/roles.html#reporting (though a few things there are slightly out of date).

Also, just to be clear, I see this is still [WIP], so I'm holding off on review approval for now, assuming you have further changes to come in. But what I see above is fine so far.

@cbeams I edited the proposal after your comments. Will now make the proposal on the DAO unless there is anything else you'd like me to change.

There are some inconsistencies with the vote result calculation for cycle 12. We are looking into it. Please avoid moving any BTC in your BSQ wallet for now, they might actually be BSQ that failed to get colored.
