[Workshop] Introduction to Rest APIs

Abstract

Nowadays every big and small company is rolling out its version of web and mobile app and providing services multiple of different web services. Whether in the front end or making Rest API calls to web services at the back-end. Including rest API as a service makes their application rich in features. Rest API is the base concept which they work on and provide services to the consumer.
In this workshop, we will cover a little bit of theory and will show a live demo of developing a rest API client.

About

  4. Development of Rest API server-side application
  5. Development of Rest API client-side application

Rest clients are Technology free, so does not matter which technology you used on the server, to honor this concept we also show students a REST API Client developed using C programming language.

Pre-requisites

  • Required skills
    None to be specific. Interest to learn is essential.

  • Required setups

  1. Audio Visual Support,
  2. Microphone, Podium mic or color mic will be great,
  3. A Laptop Charger,

Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
Everyone is welcome.
