# What steps will reproduce the problem?

select pix in gallery, "share it", "Send Reduced", mail using k9mail

picture will arrive mangled, apparently must set proper type otherwise some 
gateway will strip illegal characters.

I tried sending to Gmail app using both 0.12 and 0.13 version from F-Droid. Gmail app said can't attach empty file. When I select Android beam and I send to another phone, the file size and picture size was the same.

I just tried with the current version of Send reduced and could successfully send a reduced image using K9-mail.

@glitchphan, The "Send reduced" options screen contains a "Use content provider" checkbox that claims to be needed for Gmail on Android 6, so perhaps that would help for your case?

I'm actually not sure what changed, but my issue with gmail app went away. I also tried on another phone that is AOSP only with no gapps/any google stuff, K9mail 5.208, and send reduced worked fine sharing to it from stock Gallery. Sent myself two emails with and without send reduced.
