MANUALLY adding some of the OMZ plugins is not working out of the box. I have some options though I didn't want these scripts to get out of hand.

  • Add extra code as I find it that is needed for fresh distro installs .... this will also need extra code like linuxSetup to detect what distro you are on
  • Add the plugins (to a different function for repos having issues manually installing) and then prompt the user to a page I make listing issues and fixes as I find them

Colorize WORKS by default it seems on Ubuntu bases

https://github.com/ael-code/zsh-colored-man-pages code works in zsh in my test on Linux Mint 21.1

bcdf6d8 is the commit that addresses this and by 42edfdf it all works with at least one comfirmed test passing ... i want to see it pass one more time before closing this

Colored-man-page not working in Fedora 36 test but no errors displyed either

closing this as with changing the plugin used i am still seeing issues on non-Ubuntu distros
